Description
This barn, now used as a store, is located approximately 40 meters west-northwest of The Elms and is likely from the early 18th century. It features weatherboarded timber framing and a stone plinth, topped with a half-hipped roof made of plain tiles and coursed stone. The barn has a central midstrey with double doors, and there are later lean-tos on either side and at the right end. The rear of the barn has five pairs of single-light casements. Inside, the barn is boarded and painted, showcasing a five-bay double-purlin roof supported by what are likely double-queen-post trusses. The structure includes jowled posts with braces to the tie beams and curved wind braces, along with a small amount of replacement timber.
