Description
Shades is a townhouse that has been converted into a shop and dwelling. It dates from the early 19th century, with some alterations made to the ground floor in the 20th century. The building is constructed of red brick featuring flared headers and has a slate roof with visible chimney stacks. It is three stories tall and has a three-window range. The ground floor has an early 20th-century plate-glass shop front, which includes a glazed door on the right. The first floor features 16-pane unhorned sash windows on the left and center, both with brick flat arches, and a blind recessed panel on the right. The second floor has 12-pane unhorned sash windows, also with brick flat arches. The interior has not been inspected.
