Description
115 High Street is a townhouse with a shop, built in the early 19th century, featuring a modern shopfront. The front elevation is made of painted brick and is topped with slate roofs and brick stacks.
The layout includes a double-pile front range to the south with hipped roofs running east to west, while a rear wing to the north adjoins the neighboring buildings.
The south elevation, which faces the High Street, has three storeys and two windows. The ground-floor shopfront is modern. On the first floor, there are two shallow bow windows, each with three lights: a central eight-over-eight horned sash flanked by a pair of four-over-four sashes. These windows are framed by narrow panels and flanked by fluted pilasters that support friezes and projecting moulded cornices. A block string course runs along the first floor. The second floor features two more windows, one casement and one sash with glazing bars, both with moulded wood frames that are flush with the wall. The elevation is finished with a coped parapet at the top.
