Description
The building known as the Island Building, located at the north-west end of Upper High Street in Thame, was originally a chapel and is now used as offices. It dates from the mid-18th century and has undergone alterations in the 19th and 20th centuries. The exterior features lined render on brick, with an old plain-tile hipped roof and brick lateral stacks. The structure is two stories high and has a three-bay range, with the entrance located at the north-west end, which includes a two-storey, single-bay section. To the right of the entrance, there is a four-pane door, and to the left, a 20th-century shop window. The first floor has a two-light casement window in the center. The building has coved eaves, and the right return displays irregular fenestration with four-pane horned sashes. The interior has not been inspected.
