Description
46 and 48 Princes Street is a town house that has been converted into a shop, dating from around 1750. The building features brick construction with stone dressings, which are now covered in colorwash. It has a plain clay tiled roof that is set behind a parapet and between coped gables, with brick chimney stacks at both ends. The structure is two stories tall.
The ground floor has a modern shopfront that spans the entire width of the building, showcasing rusticated stone quoins, a simple stone cornice, and a brick parapet topped with a thin stone coping. On the first floor, there are three modern sash windows set in plain openings, each with flat gauged brick arches that include keystones. The central window is four panes wide, while the flanking windows are paired and do not have glazing bars. The interior has not been inspected. The building is included for its group value.
