Description
This is a mid-18th century house, later altered in the 19th century, now used as shops and a dwelling. It is located on the north-east side of Upper High Street, Thame. The original part of the building has a rendered plinth and red brick walls laid in Flemish bond, with flared brick headers. The roof is covered in old plain tiles, and there's a brick end stack on the left side. It has a two-storey, two-window façade. A plank door with a segmental brick arch is on the left, and a glazed door is in the centre. To the left of centre is a four-pane sash window with a segmental brick head. A 20th-century shop window is on the right. The first floor has two two-light casement windows. The interior has not been inspected.
A late 18th-century addition extends to the right. This section is built of red brick, with random flared brick to the ground floor, and red brick above. It also has an old plain-tile roof and a brick end stack. It is two storeys high and has a single-window range. A four-panel part-glazed door is on the left, a 19th-century three-light shop window is in the centre, and a three-light wood casement window is on the first floor. The interior of this section has also not been inspected.
