Description
No. 14 Upper High Street is a house that dates from the 17th century on the left side and the 18th century on the right, with 20th-century alterations. The building is constructed of red brick featuring flared headers, and has roughcast above the ground floor on the left side, with old plain-tile roofs and a brick end stack on the left. The 17th-century section is a single storey with an attic and has a single-window range that is set forward to the right. There is a 20th-century ribbed door to the left of the 18th-century portion. The windows consist of 3-light wood casements with leaded lights on the left and right sides, and there are two gabled half-dormers, each with 2-light leaded casements. The left return features a Queen-post roof truss at the gable end. The interior has not been inspected.
