Description

This is a range of four cottages dating back to the 16th century, with alterations made in the 18th century. They retain the characteristic overhang of their first floors, supported by a bressummer and brackets. The cottages are two storeys high with attics. Each has one window, except for number 27, which has two. Similarly, each cottage features one dormer window. The ground floors are painted brick, with number 26 having a rough cast finish on both floors. Numbers 25 and 26 have tiled roofs, while numbers 27 and 28 have slate roofs. The first floors of numbers 25 and 27 feature sash windows with intact glazing bars; number 28 has a casement window. Small ground-floor bays contain modern casement windows. The cottages are part of a group with numbers 14 to 32.
