Description
These are two 16th-century timber-framed cottages located on Abbey Street, with 18th-century additions to their frontages. The upper floors of the cottages display exposed close-studding. Each cottage is two storeys high, with number 23 having an attic and a gabled dormer window. They each feature one window. The ground floors are brick, and the roofs are tiled. The original glazing bars remain intact in the windows. The doorways are framed by moulded architraves with projecting cornices above, and feature six-panel doors. Numbers 14 to 32 Abbey Street form a group.
