Description

A row of cottages dating from the 18th century, located on Gold Street, Riseley. The cottages are built with a timber frame and are finished with colour-washed rough cast, topped by a thatched roof. The row comprises seven bays, with each cottage being one storey high and incorporating attics. Number 8 retains original 2-light horizontal sash windows with glazing bars to both the ground floor and the two dormers, along with a central plank door. Numbers 10 and 12 have 20th-century doors and casement windows, with four dormers. Three rendered ridge stacks are present, along with an external red brick stack to the south-east gable end. One-storey additions have been made to the front left end and to the south-east gable end, the latter featuring a pantiled roof.
