Description

Red Lion House is a house that was formerly a public house, dating from around 1700 with later alterations. The building features colour washed rough cast over a timber frame, with 20th century mock framing on the first floor exterior. It has an old clay tile roof and is designed in an L-plan, with a 19th century colour washed brick rear wing that has a slate roof, giving it an almost square shape. The house is two storeys high. The southeast elevation includes three sash windows with glazing bars on each floor, while there are 20th century casements elsewhere. It has external gable end stacks on two parallel wings and a multiple ridge stack on the cross-wing.
