Description

This house, dating from the 17th century, is located on Rotten Row in Riseley. It is constructed with a timber frame, originally clad in colour-washed plaster and later rough cast. The roof is covered in old clay tiles. The house follows a T-plan layout, extending over two storeys with attics. The southeast-facing elevation features a main block with two-light horizontal sash windows—two on the ground floor and three on the first floor—containing glazing bars. A projecting right-hand gable also has two-light horizontal sash windows with glazing bars on both the ground and first floors. The front features two plank doors. The roof is punctuated by red brick ridge and integral stacks, and the eaves are sprocketed.
