Description

No. 26 High Street is a house with origins dating back to the 17th century. It features a colour-washed rough cast exterior over a timber frame and has a clay tile roof. The building has a three-room plan and stands two storeys high, with visible interior timbering indicating that it was raised from one storey and attics. On the ground floor, there are two 19th-century canted bay windows and one casement window. The first floor has three three-light casements and one single-light casement. The entrance is marked by a six-panel door set within a moulded surround, topped with a cut bracketed flat hood.
