Description
Town Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the 17th century, with alterations made in the late 18th century and 19th century. It is timber framed, featuring red brick facing on the northwest elevation and color-washed rough cast on the other sides. The roof is covered with 20th-century clay tiles and the building has a T-plan shape with additional structures, standing two storeys tall.
On the northwest elevation, there are two broad sash windows on the ground floor and three on the first floor, all with glazing bars, cambered heads, and flush keystones. The entrance is off-centre, featuring a three-panel door beneath a flat hood supported by cut brackets. There is one integral gable end stack and one ridge stack aligned with the door, both made of red brick. The cross-wing has casement windows, and there is a one-storey and attic red brick extension on the southeast gable end of the cross-wing.
