Description
Nos 94 and 96 High Street in Edenbridge is a restored timber-framed building dating from the 15th century. It has two storeys, with No 94 featuring three windows and No 96 having one window in a gabled section that runs back at right angles. The roof is partly restored, made of stone flags and tiles. No 94 displays exposed timber framing with plaster filling on the first floor, along with modern leaded casements. The ground floor is rendered and has two modest modern shop fronts. No 96 has a weatherboarded first floor and a brick ground floor, with 19th-century windows, a casement above and a sash below, as well as a four-panel door. On the left side, there is a projecting chimney stack with a base of coursed stone and a moulded plinth. Inside, there is much heavy exposed timber and a crown post in the open upper floor. Nos 86 to 96 form a group.
