Description
Nos 29 to 33 on High Street in Shoreham are a group of historic buildings. No 29 is a timber-framed house dating from the 16th century or earlier, with an early 19th-century addition and a front made of red brick from a similar period. Nos 31 and 33 are from the 18th century. Together, they create a continuous front, although their tiled roofs differ significantly. No 29 features a hipped end facing the road with ridges on the sides and has a compound stack from the 16th or early 17th century. The eaves are boarded, and there are various 19th-century sash and casement windows, along with some panelled and boarded doors. No 29 displays part of a jettied end with visible framing and has a late 17th or early 18th-century half hipped extension at the back. Inside No 29, there is heavy exposed timber and a collar-purlin roof, along with a small one-storey extension on the left.
