Description

Nos 7 and 9 Church Street is a former Wealden house, now combined into one building. It features a high-pitched tiled roof with a rebuilt chimney. The exterior showcases exposed timber framing with rendered infilling. The eaves at the center overhang, supported by curved angle pieces, have a concave rendered curved soffit. On the right side, the first floor also overhangs and is supported by joists that have been boarded over. The ground floor has two modern top-glazed doors and a square-paned casement window in the center. To the right, there is a flat projecting octagonal bay with a square-paned window. On the first floor, there is a leaded casement window in the center and a sash window to the right above the bay window. Nos 3 to 9 (odd) and the Public Library form a group.
