Description

59 High Street is a late 18th-century building that stands three storeys tall and features three windows. The structure is made of red brick, decorated with a pattern of blue headers. It has a hipped, swept tiled roof, which is complemented by a moulded and modillioned eaves cornice. The building includes mid to late 19th-century sash windows, with those on the second floor having vertical bars, all set in earlier exposed moulded frames. On the first floor, there are two square bays topped with quasi-modillion cornices, also from the late 19th century. The ground floor features a late 19th-century double shop front with a central double door, flanked by pilasters that support a fascia with a modillion cornice and decorative brackets.
