Description

This is an early 18th century house situated on the south side of Market Square. It is two stories high with three windows. The roof is steeply pitched and covered with tiles, featuring end chimneys. The house is constructed of blue brick with brick headers, and red brick dressings, including quoins on the end pilasters, window jambs, and gauged brick arches. A stone-coped parapet tops the building. On the first floor are two sash windows and one late 19th century casement window, all set in near-flush moulded frames. A modern shop front occupies the ground floor. Numbers 7 to 11, which are the odd-numbered properties, form a notable group.
