Description

This is an early 18th century brick house with a two-window front, originally three stories high. The front facade is constructed of brick with stone or cement detailing. The roof is hipped and covered in stone slates, while the rear of the house has tile hanging. A three-light sash window, along with a dormer featuring a segmental head, are located at the rear. The front sash windows are distinguished by moulded architraves and keystones. Rusticated quoins are present, and the building is finished with a modillion cornice and blocking course. The interior includes an early 18th century staircase and a cupboard fitting. The ground floor has been substantially altered. The building forms part of a group with numbers 43 to 55 (odd) on the same side of the street.
