Description

Number 43 on High Street is a building dating from the 18th century, with some alterations made in the 19th century. It is two stories high and has a four-window front that is rendered in cement. The ground floor features a shop window with a Georgian-style pilaster treatment, and there is a doorway with a three-centred head located on the left side. The building has sash windows with glazing bars and a moulded eaves cornice. A new slate roof has been added. At the back of the house, there is a small 18th-century panelled room that includes a semi-circular niche with a shell head. This building is part of a group that includes numbers 43 to 53 on the odd side of the street.
