Description

Wickhurst Farmhouse, specifically the old wing, is a 17th century or earlier timber-framed farmhouse with extensions added to the left and rear in 1895. The listed section is two storeys high and features three irregularly placed windows. It has a large hipped gabled tiled roof with a compound ridge stack. The first floor is tile hung, while the ground floor is made of brick. The right-hand windows are ornamental iron casements, and the left windows are late 19th century sashes. There is a 19th century central gabled timber porch with a flattened Tudor arch leading to the door. A large chimney is located at the right end, with its upper part rebuilt. Inside, there are exposed chamfered beams.
