Description

This is a timber-framed farmhouse, likely dating from the 16th century, that was refaced in 1879, as evidenced by the date inscribed in the plaster of the dormer gable ends. The house is two storeys and has an attic, with two windows. It has a high-pitched tiled roof with two later gabled dormers. A large ridge stack features four conjoined shafts with cornices sloping in several planes. The first floor is clad in tiles, while the ground floor is of red brick with some blue headers. It has 19th-century square-paned casement windows. A gabled brick porch with a six-panel door, the top of which is glazed, leads to the entrance. A lean-to addition is present on the left return. Inside, much of the original timber framing is exposed, and there are old plank floors.
