Description

This is a 16th century or earlier weatherboarded threshing barn located to the north of Whitepost Farmhouse. It features a high-pitched hipped roof that is now covered with slate. The barn has a rubble foundation with some later brick underpinning. Inside, there is a crown post roof supported by stout timbers, with long arch braces connecting to the ties and diagonal braces positioned above the half rail. Notably, some stone weatherboarding is missing at the north-west corner.
