Description

Moorden Farmhouse is a double-span house, likely dating from the 16th century, with alterations and a refronting in the 19th century. It is two storeys high and has three windows. The roof is tiled and hipped to the right. The first floor is tile-hung, while the ground floor is brick with some visible timber framing. Modern casement windows are present, with oriel bays on the ground floor to the right. A tiled, gabled porch in the style of George Devey is attached to the front. Further exposed timber framing, with old brick infill, is visible on the right return at the back. A timber-framed lean-to extension is located on the left. Moorden Farmhouse is part of a group that includes the Granary, the Large Barn, Small Barn, and Cart Shed.
