Description

This large barn, located to the south-west of Moorden Farmhouse, is likely from the 17th century and features nine bays. It is constructed with weatherboarding and has a half-hipped tiled roof. The foundation consists of coursed freestone with some brick courses above. The barn includes several double doors and upper loading openings. Inside, there are fairly closely set uprights with a half rail and diagonal braces above. The structure also has tie and collar beams, sloped queen posts, and through purlins. Moorden Farmhouse, the Granary, the Large Barn, the Small Barn, and the Cart Shed form a group.
