Description

The barn located to the north-west of Imbham Farmhouse is possibly a late 16th century, five-bay threshing barn. It is timber framed with stout scantlings and jowled posts, and is weatherboarded with a hipped tiled roof. The barn has a plinth made of brick and rubble. Inside, it features queen post roof trusses with one or two upper posts above the collars, along with straight wind braces. The listing does not include an added shelter shed, which is likely from the 19th century. Some carpenters' marks can be found inside the barn.
