BRASTED High Street (North Side) Darenth Cottage

GV II C17 or earlier timber framed building re-fronted early and later C19. High pitched tiled roof with end ridge stack. Roof raised forming pent dormer at left. Later gabled projection at right. Red brick with random rubble plinth. Early C19 first floor sash windows, late C19 ground floor three-light sash windows. six-panel door under later bracketed pent hood. In carriageway on left return visible timber framing with plaster filling largely renewed.
