Description
79 London Road is a late 18th-century building featuring a two-window facade and three storeys. It has eaves and a gutter, with a hipped tiled roof and a central brick chimney stack. The ground floor is constructed of random stone, accented with red brick quoins and dressings, while the first and second floors are made of red brick. On the ground floor, there is a small shop window to the left, accompanied by a half-glazed and panelled door, and a sash window to the right. The first floor has two square projecting bay windows that extend over the pavement, with boarded soffits and rendered fronts. Each bay contains sash windows with glazing bars and has flat leaded roofs. The second floor features one recessed brick panel to the left and one sash window to the right, also with glazing bars. This building is part of a group that includes Nos 73 to 93 (odd).
