Description

70 Westgate Place is a late 18th-century building that stands three storeys tall and is constructed of red brick. It features a pantile roof with dentiled eaves. The facade includes two three-light windows flanking a single-light window, all of which are hung sashes with glazing bars. The ground floor is rough rendered and has two single-light windows along with one later window to the left, with cased frames. There are bands between the storeys, and the entrance door is made up of six panels beneath a four-light rectangular fanlight. A good 19th-century street lamp is mounted on a bracket attached to the front of the building, and there is a late 19th-century female mask door knocker. The buildings numbered 70 to 80 (even) form a group.
