Description

No. 64 Westgate is a late 18th-century, three-storey house made of diapered brick in cream and pale red. It features a pantile roof and a dentilled eaves cornice. Each floor has two three-light hung sash windows with glazing bars, along with a single light in the centre of the first and second floors. These windows have wide wooden cases, flat-arched heads, and plain cills. There is a stringcourse above the ground floor. The central doorway has modern attached columns and a wooden cornice, with a door that has four panels and a radiating fanlight in a rectangular frame. The house has a small enclosed forecourt. Note that the glazing bars are replacements. Nos. 44 to 66 (even) form a group with Nos. 82 and 84.
