Description
This early 19th-century building was originally constructed as the offices for the Sevenoaks Savings Bank. The facade is constructed of coursed local stone, featuring a plinth and band. The symmetrical design presents a 1-3-1 window arrangement, with projecting wings to the right and left. The central section is further emphasized by moulded modillioned eaves and a gutter. A hipped Welsh slate roof tops the building. Windows are sash windows with glazing bars, set within projecting square stone surrounds with flat arches and centre voussoirs. The ground floor features five square sash windows, while the first floor has three oblong sash windows. Panelled doors are located to the right and left, leading up five projecting stone steps. Spearhead railings run along the front, set upon a stone plinth, with gate openings to either side. The gateways are flanked by square stone gatepiers with moulded stone coping.
