The house features an 18th-century panelled door with bottle glass top lights, set in a panelled pilastered frame adorned with fern leaf ornamentation. Above the door is a flat projecting moulded hood, and access is provided by four brick steps. The first floor is tile-hung with lattice easements, and there are eaves and a gutter. The roof is hipped and tiled. The elevation facing London Road is hidden behind a large, modern one-storey shop building.
