Description

No. 51 on Fore Street is an 18th-century house with a second floor added in the mid to late 19th century. It is a three-storey building featuring a stone front with three windows. The house has a moulded cornice topped with a blocking course and is covered with double Roman tiles, including a crested ridge. The second floor is framed by short pilasters with fluted caps, which rest on a cill string. The windows are plate glass sash windows. The ground floor has a modern shop front, while to the left, there is an impressive pedimented doorcase with guttae on the brackets and a flat stone surround with a moulded edge.
