Description

Nos 52 and 53 on Fore Street are a pair of brick terraced houses dating from before 1814, as mentioned in Bobman's "History." They have a painted stone front and rise four storeys, each featuring two windows. The front is divided by narrow pilaster strips and cill bands into six rectangular compartments above the ground floor, which has two modern shop fronts. The building is topped with a moulded cornice and a blocking course. The windows are glazing bar sash windows, single hung on the third floor.
