Description
Ye Olde Cottage is a house dating from the late 16th century to early 17th century. It is timber framed with brick nogging and features a plain tile roof. The building consists of three timber-framed bays and stands two storeys high on a stone plinth. The studding is broadly spaced, and there are long arch-braces at each end, with a tension brace towards the centre. The roof is hipped and includes gablets. A central multiple brick stack is present, and the windows are arranged irregularly, consisting of three casements: two with two lights and one with three lights. The central entrance has a boarded door beneath a flat bracketed hood, and there is a lean-to structure on the right side. The interior has not been inspected.
