Description
The Old Farmhouse is an 18th-century farmhouse with later alterations. It features a front elevation and left side made of chequered red and grey brick, with plain red brick possibly rebuilt under the eaves. The right side is constructed of red brick in English bond. The roof is covered with plain tiles and has a lobby entry plan consisting of three bays, with two broad bays and one narrow bay at the right end. The building has two storeys set on a galletted stone plinth, with a plain brick eaves band and a hipped roof. There is an off-centre brick ridge stack located to the left. The fenestration is irregular, consisting of three casements: two three-light and one two-light on the right end, all featuring splayed rubbed brick voussoirs. The entrance includes a panelled door with two top lights and a flat bracketed hood beneath the stack. A rear lean-to has been broadened later, and a two-storey rear wing has been added to the left. The farmhouse is included for its group value.
