Description
Horton Court is a farmhouse that dates from the 18th century or earlier, with some later alterations. The east elevation, which is now the rear, is constructed of red and grey brick in a mixed bond, while the west elevation, now the front, features tile-hanging on the first floor. The roof is covered with plain tiles and is hipped to the left. The east elevation has two storeys on the left side and two storeys with an attic on the right. It has a rendered plinth and a plat band. The right side of this elevation has been built up into a later gable, which includes applied close-studding, rendered infilling, and plain bargeboards. There is a slender brick stack on the left and a ridge stack in the center. The fenestration is irregular, consisting of four 2-light casements with top lights and segmental heads. A brick lean-to is present on the right, along with 19th and 20th-century lean-tos on the west elevation. There is a half-glazed door in the left gable end and another at the rear, which is now the front. The interior has not been inspected.
