Description
Church Farm House is a farmhouse, now a house, dating from the 18th century or earlier, with a facade dating from the early to mid-19th century. The house is built with channelled render over a painted stone base, and has a plain tile roof. It is two storeys high, with attics and a cellar. The exterior features a high painted brick plinth, boxed eaves, and a hipped roof to the left and a half-hipped roof to the right, with gablets. There are three small hipped dormers. The roof also has a rear stack to the left, a rear stack to the right of centre, and a slightly projecting stack to the right gable end. The fenestration is irregular, with four casement windows, including three 3-light windows and one 2-light window above the front door. The front door is panelled and has two small windows above it, set within a reeded architrave with paterae, a plain frieze, and a shallow moulded hood, leading up four steps to the second window from the left. A short rear return wing is located to the right, with a half-hipped plain-tile roof, and a rear lean-to is situated to the left. The interior has not been inspected.
