Description

This is a group of three chest tombs located to the south of the porch of the Church of St. Peter in Boughton Monchelsea. They date from the 17th or 18th century and are made of stone. Each tomb features a moulded plinth and cornice, along with moulded side panels. The north side of each tomb is set into the hill. The inscriptions on the south side of each tomb were illegible at the time of the re-survey. The tombs are arranged one south of the other, with a third tomb positioned between them to the west.
