Description
This is a house dating from around 1700. It is constructed of chequered red and grey brick, with a plain tile roof. The house sits on a high brick plinth and has two storeys. A continuous plat band runs along the front elevation and gable ends, including the lean-to. The roof is hipped to the left side and has brick coping and kneelers to the right gable. There are gable end stacks. The windows are irregular, comprising three casements: two are three-light, and the central one is two-light. The ground-floor windows have segmental heads. The central door is half-glazed and is sheltered by a rustic wooden porch. A rear lean-to is integrated into the main structure. A plaque above the door is dated "TM . 1700". The interior was only partly inspected, revealing a timber-framed partition between the main range and the lean-to. The right-hand ground-floor room features chamfered ceiling beams. There is a blocked inglenook on the right, and a 19th-century fireplace on the left.
