Description

Bitford is a house, likely dating from the 18th century or earlier. It is constructed of red brick in a Flemish bond pattern. The upper part of the first floor may have been rebuilt. The house is two storeys high, with a cogged brick eaves cornice and a hipped roof. A brick stack is located on the front slope of the roof to the left of centre. The windows are irregular, consisting of two casements: one is a two-light window and the other a three-light window. There is no window on the right-hand side of the building. A weatherboarded porch originally had a door, and is situated towards the right end. A short rear wing extends to the right. A single-storey brick addition is positioned to the left, featuring a brick ridge stack and two casements. The interior has not been inspected. The building holds group value, contributing to the character of the area.
