Description
Rectory Farmhouse is a farmhouse built in the late 18th century, with alterations from the early to mid-19th century. It has a double depth design, featuring red brick in Flemish bond on the ground floor and tile-hung walls on the first floor. The roof is made of plain tiles and has two storeys, attics, and a cellar, all set on a brick plinth. A moulded modillioned wooden eaves cornice runs along the roof, which is half-hipped. There is a central rectangular chimney stack with a cogged brick cornice on the front slope of the roof, and a smaller chimney stack with a cogged cornice at the rear to the right. The house has two hipped dormers and a regular three-window front, consisting of two three-light and one central two-light leaded casements. The central porch, dating from the early to mid-19th century, is made of red and grey brick, sits on a plinth, and features a moulded wooden eaves cornice and a triangular wooden pediment supported by moulded brackets. The entrance has a panelled door with a rectangular fanlight. The interior has not been inspected.
