Description
Home Farm Cottage is a farmhouse that dates from the 17th century or earlier, with early 19th century alterations. The building is timber-framed and rendered, featuring a first floor on the left gable end clad with thick bands of plain and fishscale tiles that continue along the rear wing. It has a plain tile roof and stands two storeys high on a rendered plinth, topped with a hipped roof. There is a red brick stack at the rear to the left. The windows are arranged irregularly and consist of three glazing-bar sashes. The central entrance has a panelled door with a three-light rectangular fanlight above it, framed by an early 19th century fluted architrave. The porch is adorned with a flat corniced hood supported by square fluted columns with paterae. There is a rear return wing to the left. The interior has not been inspected.
