Description
The Old Post Office is a house, originally a post office and cottages, dating back to the 16th century or earlier, with substantial alterations made in the early 19th century. The building is timber-framed and clad in weatherboarding, with a gable end of painted brick in English bond. It has a plain tile roof. The ground level sits on a flint plinth, and the eaves project with flat soffits. A brick ridge stack is located to the right of centre, and another is at the rear to the left. The windows are arranged irregularly, with four in total, comprising two glazing-bar sash windows and two two-light casements. A panelled door is situated towards the left end, with a flat, corniced hood above it. A half-glazed door is on the left end, and a boarded door is on the right end. The interior has not been inspected.
