Description
Yew Tree Farmhouse is a farmhouse that dates back to the 15th century, with alterations made in the late 17th century and early 19th century. The building is timber-framed, with the ground floor of the main range on the left side clad in flint with brick dressings, and on the right side clad in red brick laid in Flemish bond. The principal studs are exposed, and the cross-wing is clad in a chequered pattern of red and grey brick. The roof is covered with plain tiles and features a hipped design with gablets on the left and over the wing, and a gable at the right end. There is a multiple brick ridge stack towards the left end and a red brick stack with a fillet at the right end. The fenestration is irregular, consisting of four early 20th-century leaded casements. A 20th-century boarded door is located at the right end of the main range. A datestone on the right gable indicates the year 1687. There is also a short rear wing to the right, which is clad in chequered red and grey brick and has a plain tile roof. The interior has not been inspected.
