Description

This is a barn located about 4 metres east of Great Tong, dating from the early to mid 19th century. It is timber framed and covered in weatherboarding, topped with a hipped plain tile roof. The barn features central double doors on the north side and has a lean-to structure at the east end of the north elevation. Inside, there are three timber-framed bays and a rear aisle on the south side. The posts are unjowled, and the structure includes both curved and straight braces. The roof is made of common rafters with clasped purlins and a ridge-piece. A date of 1847 is inscribed on one of the posts. This barn is included for its group value.
