Description

The East Barn at Dane End House is a barn dating from the 18th century or early 19th century. It features a timber frame that is dark weatherboarded and has a steep half-hipped thatch roof. The barn is tall and consists of three bays, facing north, with central double doors. There is a catslide rear outshut located in the middle bay opposite the main entrance. The structure includes unjowled posts, straight braces, and a clasped-purlin roof with collars and inclined struts to the trusses. This barn is included in the listing for its group value.
