Description

Railings located about 30 metres east of Sorrento, dating from the mid-19th century, are made of painted iron and stand on a red brick plinth laid in Flemish bond, topped with stone coping. The railings feature spear-head designs and have scrolled supports at regular intervals. A long central section spans the frontage of the house and continues beyond the gable ends, with a short resumption beyond the entrance gates. The entrance gates are located towards each end and are flanked by plain spear-head railings. The piers are formed from a shallow rectangle of clustered railings. These railings are included for their group value.
