House, now house pair. C17 or earlier, with C19 and C20 alterations. Timber framed. Section to left of stack rendered, section under and to right of stack red brick in Flemish bond to ground floor, weatherboarded above. First floor of left gable end tile-hung. Plain tile roof. 2 storeys and garret. Half-hipped roof to left, hipped roof to right. Multiple brick ridge stack towards centre. Irregular fenestration of 5 casements; 2 deep 3-light to left, and two 3-light and one 2-light to right. Panelled door with 2 top lights and flat corniced and bracketed hood towards centre of right section, to Rowland House. Door with flat bracketed hood towards left end, to Pilgrim Cottage. Lean-to to left gable end and to rear. Interior not inspected, but said to contain patterned wall-painting.
